Along with the questions of how does cannabis normalize in the world, or, how does a business find its niche in an evolving industry, it is just as important to ask the following: how many new farmers are entering the agricultural field because of this one plant, and how will they survive in the agricultural economy long term?
It does not usually get much press, but there is a an enormous in-flux of new agricultural businesses across the country. With international investors buying up US farm land and a quickly aging farmer population, these new and beginning farmers are sorely needed. Most importantly, their businesses are tied to the land. This presents an amazing opportunity to start these land-stewards off on the right foot, with a mindset focused on regenerative land management and building diversified agricultural businesses.
